Harry Potter leaps to $125.1M debut weekend

Harry Potter has cast his biggest box-office spell yet with a franchise record $125.1 million domestically over opening weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 also added $205 million in 54 overseas countries, bringing the film's worldwide total to $330.1 million.

Hollywood actress Michelle Williams has spoken out against US censors who have given her new film Blue Valentine an adult certificate.
Williams is appealing against the rating, saying that it will limit the scope of the film.
"Our film does not depict violence, rape or torture, it's simply a candid look at the difficulties couples face in sustaining their relationships over time," she said in a press statement.

Will Shah Rukh Khan say yes to Dhoom 3?
Bollywood 'Badshah' Shah Rukh Khan has portrayed negative roles in movies like Darr, Baazigar, Anjaam, Duplicate and several other films and he was appreciated for his performances in those films. His character in Darr gained immense popularity for his typical stammering style. While Guzaarish lost its initial pick to the boy wizard on Friday, Hrithik's magic tricks and intense acting picked up Saturday onwards.
"The weekend was superb. While Guzaarish was good with 85 percent occupancy, Harry Potter... did around 70 percent both in Hindi and English. Collections wise both movies have done neck to neck business, however, 'Guzaarish' is a class movie and not meant for everyone," Amit Awasthi, senior manager (Programming and Operations) of Spice Cinemas, told
